The technology provider Arrow now offers its channel partners in Austria and Germany the opportunity to add firewalls from Fortinet to their portfolio on a rental basis, especially for their SME customers. […]
With the Arrow Fortinet Hardware-as-a-Service offer, small and medium-sized enterprises get uncomplicated and flexible access to an intelligent and secure firewall infrastructure at a fixed monthly price. Accordingly, the acquisition costs for these security solutions are eliminated. Fortinet and Arrow are thus pursuing the goal of lowering the threshold for smaller companies in particular to invest in professional IT network security.
As part of the offering, Arrow combines selected Fortinet next-generation firewalls with a comprehensive security software package. In addition, there are services around the management of the solutions, which customers, for example, who do not have their own IT team or want to outsource this, do not have to take care of themselves.
Demand for service models increases
“IT for rent, completely set up in just a few days. What printers or software have long been used in everyday business, we are now realizing in Germany and Austria for the first time in the field of network security,“ explains Alexis Brabant, Vice President Sales EMEA in Arrow’s Enterprise Computing Solutions business unit. “Due to the services around the solutions, IT service providers also have the opportunity to become managed service providers.“
“Requests for such service models have recently increased with the increasing use of cloud services and subscription business models,” says Anne Bourgeois, vice president Channel at Fortinet EMEA. “Thanks to Arrow’s new offering, enterprise IT security is now also possible for small and medium-sized companies in Germany and Austria at no cost. The additional Arrow Support Services included round off the package and give customers the security to be operational again as soon as possible in an emergency.“
