Digital excellence for 16 million customersen
Erste Digital is responsible for the development, implementation and operation of the IT solutions used by Erste Group’s more than 16 million customers. The most important customer-oriented business solutions that Erste Digital enables include the retail, SME and Corporates & Markets sectors and also include George, the digital financial companion used by more than 6.5 million customers.

The headquarters of Erste Digital is located in the newly built Erste Tower in the immediate vicinity of the Erste Campus and Vienna Central Station. In addition to the offices in Vienna and Bratislava, where the majority of IT experts work, Erste Digital also has branches in Innsbruck and Prague. The range of job profiles offered by Erste Digital is broad and reflects the high priority that digital excellence occupies in banking today. The specialists at Erste Digital excel in the areas of artificial intelligence, cloud engineering, data operation and analysis as well as front-end and back-end solutions. The project managers, agility coaches and scrum masters in the company ensure the coordination required for effective service provision.
Another focus of Erste Digital is the promotion of women in IT: The proportion of women in the company as a whole is 24 percent, and one in six management positions is filled by a woman. The company management has set itself the priority of further improving these figures.
The history of Erste Digital goes back more than 50 years. The company was founded in 1968 as the former SPARDAT to take over the data center operation of the Austrian savings banks.
