Fortinet expands list of service providers using Secure SD-WAN
Fortinet, a global leader in comprehensive, integrated and automated cyber security solutions, announces that six new service providers have chosen Fortinet Secure SD-WAN to differentiate their business and offer new value-added services to their customers. These six companies, including Comcast Business, Granite Telecommunications, C&W Business Panama, Acuative, Tata Teleservices and 1&1 Versatel, are expanding their offerings to customers with Fortinet Secure SD-WAN. They thus contribute to a continuation of the Fortinet momentum for a growing list of service providers (SPs).
Many companies have problems with the lack of transparency and analysis of their network. In addition, manually performed tasks increase time, cost, and error probability, reduce flexibility, and increase the number of network failures. IT teams want to prevent these network outages and eliminate human error, which is the leading cause of downtime and security breaches.
To prevent customers from facing these challenges, service providers around the world are developing new services based on Fortinet Secure SD-WAN to simplify WAN architecture and management and accelerate deployment. This allows you to give your customers better visibility into their network and enforce consistent policies for users outside and inside the network. In addition, the PLCs can offer extensive ecosystem integrations as well as proactive WAN problem solving and automation.
PLCs offer additional value-added services based on Fortinet Secure SD-WAN
Fortinet Secure SD-WAN helps service providers differentiate their managed services from competitors through superior quality, accelerated convergence, and efficient operations.
Accelerated convergence through an operating system
Fortinet accelerates the convergence of security and networking with organically developed and consolidated key capabilities that include SD-WAN, Next-generation firewalls (NGFW), advanced routing, and Access Proxy for Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) support. With a solution that combines all of these capabilities in one device, device diversity is eliminated and a unified policy is enforced across all edges – including users outside and inside the network – providing flexible deployment options.
Top quality for users and IT teams
Providing good user quality for both users and IT teams is a win-win situation for service providers. The user experience is enhanced by faster access, higher performance, and longer uptime for cloud-based critical business applications with a cloud-on-ramp approach, whether the user is inside or outside the office. Fortinet has developed and launched the world’s only SD-WAN ASIC (SOC4) that enables customers to deliver a superior SD-WAN experience by accelerating application performance.
Efficient operation across WAN and cloud edges
With services based on Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, PLCs are able to provide their customers with a unified view and analysis of their network operations, dramatically reducing operating costs, significantly improving MTTR, and accelerating deployment. Fortinet’s novel Secure SD-WAN helps automate the delivery of network services across the lifecycle, Day 0, Day 1 and Day 2+, while protecting the entire digital attack surface.
Fortinet Secure SD-WAN: A True Industry Leader
More than 30,000 customers represent a growing adoption of Fortinet Secure SD-WAN. In addition, thanks to its unique capabilities, the solution received the following industry awards:
- Fortinet’s ASIC approach was ranked as a leader in the Gartner WAN Edge MQ 2020 and received the highest rating among sixty vendors for the security-related use case.
- Fortinet’s Secure SD-WAN enables faster deployment regardless of size and was rated “Recommended” in the NSS Labs SD-WAN test.
- Fortinet has been ranked as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for two years in a row and received the “Gartner Peer Insight” Customer’s Choice for WAN Edge with the most customer reviews in 2020.
“Fortinet’s industry-leading Secure SD-WAN solution continues to be used by global service providers and MSSPs to deliver new managed services to more than 30,000 customers worldwide. Our partners can provide consolidated key capabilities such as security, SD-WAN, advanced routing, and ZTNA services with natively available access proxy through a single solution because Fortinet takes a security-centric network approach,” explains John Maddison, EVP of Products and CMO at Fortinet. “This opens up new market opportunities for our SP and MSSP partners. You can drive your business growth by being able to respond specifically to user needs.”
“In the context of data and networks, security is the most important factor – especially given the increasing popularity of cloud computing and remote work,” affirms Joachim Sinzig, Vice President Products, 1&1 Versatel. “We are meeting our customers’ growing need for comprehensive, integrated and automated security solutions by adding Fortinet Secure SD-WAN to our portfolio of Gigabit fiber, voice and other networking solutions and IT services. The partnership with Fortinet enables us to further advance the digitization of the German economy.“
