Backup expert Veeam Software announces that former Google Cloud executive John Jester has been appointed Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). The focus of his new role will be on growth in the market. Prior to joining Veeam, Jester worked for Google Cloud and led, among other things, the customer experience organization there.
Veeam’s CEO Anand Eswaran says about the new personnel: “With John’s extensive experience in working with partners and in all customer segments and with a proven track record, especially in the areas of hybrid cloud and enterprise, I am excited to see what we can achieve. With John on board, and working with Veeam’s outstanding leadership team and customer-centric people, I am confident that we can take Veeam to a new level of market leadership, market share and success with customers and partners.”

Jester himself on his appointment: “I am very excited about the opportunity to join Veeam. Companies support a rapidly changing and increasingly complex IT environment that includes the introduction of cloud, as a service and containers. In addition, the frequency and extent of cyber threats, especially ransomware, continues to explode. All this increases the likelihood of a serious business interruption. Veeam has presented an industry-leading vision and strategy for modern data protection that provides customers with the resilience they need to drive digital transformation. I look forward to working with the team to make this vision a reality.”
