NCSC warns against deposit SMS

NCSC warns against deposit SMS

Currently, SMS with information about an alleged deposit are sent. Several 100’000 euros in the form of Bitcoin are said to have been paid into an account, according to the National Center for Cyber Security (NCSC). […]

The SMS states that several 100’000 euros in Bitcoins have been paid into an account of the alleged investment portal “Coinomac”. The SMS also contains access data with which the recipient can apparently really log into his alleged Coinomac account and see the mentioned amount.

If one then wants to collect the money from the Bitcoin account, the person will “most likely have to pay high fees,” according to the National Center for Cybersecurity (NCSC). However, the promised amount does not exist.

PCtipp advises: Do not log in to this website and delete the SMS.
