Lower latency, simplified deployment and higher security level
Radware has introduced SecurePath, a new cloud-based architecture for application security. It is the basis of the manufacturer’s application protection-as-a-Service solutions. The innovative architecture is intended to offer a new perspective to companies looking for consistent, high-quality and comprehensive protection for applications in multi- and hybrid cloud environments. Radware SecurePath has a unique dual deployment model that departs from the traditional industry paradigms. The solution meets the requirements for complete application transparency and central security management, regardless of where the applications are deployed.
Inline or out-of-path for more flexibility
To meet different business and technical requirements, Radware SecurePath offers companies several cloud-based deployment options. With this new architecture, Radware’s cloud security services can traditionally be used inline, where they take on the usual role of ‘middleman’, or now also as an API-based out-of-path service. This out-of-path deployment allows application requests to go directly from the client to the application server without interruption. By eliminating all inline components in the data path, Radware’s new approach reduces complexity and latency, eliminates the need for routing changes and increases availability.
“We are changing the industry paradigm for the security of hybrid and multi-cloud applications and solving the biggest security problems that companies have when migrating to the cloud,” says Gabi Malka, Chief Operating Officer of Radware. “To secure applications, organizations have had to contend with varying levels of protection, inconsistent security policies, routing changes, fragmented logging and reporting, and more. This resulted in incomplete protection and a high operational effort.”
No more sharing of SSL certificates
The Radware SecurePath architecture is part of the company’s recently announced strategic cloud services initiative. It provides full, cross-cloud visibility of applications and granular management through a single, centralized portal, making it easy to protect applications no matter where they are deployed. In addition, SecurePath enables comprehensive application protection that combines WAFs, a bot manager, API protection, layer 7 DDoS protection, threat intelligence and much more. The solution is deployed either as an inline or API-based, out-of-path SaaS service to avoid availability risks and provide maximum flexibility. It works without sharing SSL certificates with third-party providers to maintain confidentiality and meet compliance requirements.
“With the Radware SecurePath architecture, companies no longer have to make these compromises,” adds Michael Gießelbach, Regional Director DACH at Radware . “You can safely migrate applications to the public cloud without compromising on transparency, protection quality, performance and operational efficiency.”
