3x higher performance
Massive improvement in the firewall(3x), threat prevention (3x), and TLS throughput (> 6x)
Last year, cybercrime reached unprecedented levels, especially with regard to sophisticated threats such as ransomware. Through May alone, SonicWall recorded 226.3 million ransomware attacks – an increase of 116 percent over the previous year. Other forms of attack such as cryptojacking, encrypted threats, and IoT attacks are also on the rise.
SonicWall continues to develop its boundless cybersecurity platform to ensure customers have access to the latest solutions, services, tools, and technologies at all times.
And because cybercriminals are becoming more brazen and crafty, the latest releases are particularly focused on optimizing speed, security efficiency, and threat prevention. In this way, SonicWall helps organizations protect their mobile workforce in a cost-effective way.
In addition to additions to the popular NSa and NSsp next-generation firewall series, Sophos`optimized boundless cybersecurity concept also includes new and updated tools and services.
New Next-Generation Firewalls
The three new SonicWall firewalls NSa 4700, NSa 6700, and NSsp 13700 provide three times higher threat protection throughput, enabling large enterprises and other organizations to increase security without sacrificing performance.
They all support the latest TLS 1.3 encryption standard for better performance and security and are equipped with SonicOS 7.0.1: This operating system comes with a modern user experience, advanced security controls, and device views, and critical network and management features.
Because the appliances are equipped with the powerful SonicWall Capture ATP sandbox, including patented Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection™technology-which scored 100 percent of the possible points in ICSA Labs ‘ Q1/2021 Advanced Threat Detection certification test-customers can be assured that their network is protected by one of the best threat protection solutions on the market.
SonicWall NSa 4700 and NSa 6700: These firewalls offer three times the performance in threat defense on medium-sized networks, as well as the highest port density in their class at lower TCO. The NSa 4700 achieves a firewall throughput of 18 Gbit/s (vs. 6 GBit/s for the NSa 4650), the NSa 6700 even 36 GBit/s (compared to 12 GBit/s for the NSa 6650). The NSa 4700 and NSa 6700 have been designed with special attention to high scalability, allowing them to connect millions of users in a secure way. The 6700 appliance supports both 40G and 25G connectivity for multi-gigabit threat protection.
SonicWall NSsp 13700: These high-end firewalls securely support millions of encrypted connections. They help eliminate bottlenecks and provide enterprises, service providers, government agencies, and MSSPs with ultra-fast threat protection that meets even the most demanding requirements of dynamic organizations. The enhanced scalability and high port density (including 100, 40, 25, and 10GbE ports) of the NSsp 13700 enable your business to grow and connect more easily.
New and updated solutions
Sonicwall Capture Labs Portal: This portal provides free and centralized access to security news and information gathered by SonicWall’s threat research teams. Thanks to real-time updates, users get an overview of global hacker activity and can quickly determine whether they need to take measures to protect themselves from new threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities.
The SonicWall Capture Labs Portal also provides a suite of powerful threat research tools that allow users to search threat information, CVEs data, IP reputation, and URL reputation, and SonicWall databases of product information from a central interface.
SonicWall NSM 2.3: Thanks to powerful new features, Network Security Manager (NSM) 2.3 simplifies the implementation and management of distributed networks. With intuitive and self-directed new workflows, you can deploy, deploy, and manage secure SD-WAN networks and application routing services from a central location across all sites.
Thanks to one template, hundreds of locations can be set up using a single automatic template configuration. This eliminates the need for manual configuration for each location. Finally, network administrators can quickly and flawlessly establish site-to-site connections regardless of their knowledge using the wizard-based VPN set-up and monitoring tools and a repeatable self-directed workflow. This feature also provides an overview of the activity, security status, and performance of the entire VPN environment.
SonicWall Analytics 3.1: This solution improves network transparency and reporting across security devices, users, VPN connections, etc. Employee behavior can be divided into categories such as ” productive “and” unproductive”, allowing users to optimize their team’s productivity.
Analytics 3.1 provides a comprehensive, unified, and transparent overview of your employees ‘ web applications and Internet usage. This allows you to know at all times whether risky applications are being called, how much bandwidth is being used (by whom), and whether the activities are taking place during or outside of working hours.
Cloud Edge 1.1: Special device health check features allow you to ensure that only devices with certain attributes connect to the network. The update also includes network traffic control features that enforce Layer 3 and Layer 4 access control for resources based on user groups, IP addresses, ports, and network protocols.
