The market researchers from Counterpoint have once again created the top ten best-selling smartphones of the year. Even in 2021, the dominance of Apple was overwhelming at first glance, but sales at the market leader Samsung, which could place only one smartphone among the ten bestsellers, also spread to a much wider model range.
According to the list, the best-selling smartphone was the main iPhone 12 model with a 2.9 percent market share, followed by its bigger brother, the 12 Pro Max. In third place is the basic model of the iPhone 13, although it was released on the market only in the fall. Behind them are two other Apple smartphones, the 12 Pro and the 11.
Only in sixth place is the entry-level model Galaxy A12 the only Samsung product in the top ten. Xiaomi makes it twice in the charts with the Redmi 9A at number seven and the Redmi 9 at position ten. These will be completed with the iPhone SE (2020) in eighth place and the iPhone 13 Pro Max on the nine of two other Apple devices.
