VRdirect has released the WebStudio product for easy creation of your own virtual reality applications. With a free license, a slimmer version of the paid desktop app can be tried out. […]
The Munich-based software company VRdirect has released “VRdirect WebStudio”, a new web-based software for building your own virtual reality applications directly in the browser. A leaner range of functions and a user-oriented user interface should allow the creation of simple VR projects without the installation of special software and thus reduce the barriers to entry into virtual reality for companies to a minimum.
Thanks to a “Free license”, according to the manufacturer, “permanent free use of the software with a full range of functions for smaller as well as pilot projects up to a certain number of accesses” is given. Compared to the desktop application of VRdirect, the web version has a reduced range of features and is aimed primarily at companies that want to quickly gain initial experience with their own virtual reality applications or only implement smaller projects.
For the coming months, VRdirect is planning a seamless linking of desktop and web version.
