Prisma Access provides visibility, privacy, threat protection and control for Microsoft 365 enterprise customers

Today, companies are expected to provide professional IT user experiences to their employees – whether at work, at home or on the go – as well as to third-party and external customers. Many are opting for the leading cloud-enabled enterprise collaboration suite, Microsoft 365, to achieve this goal. Palo Alto Networks, the world’s leading cybersecurity company, today announced that it has joined the Microsoft 365 Networking Partner Program to provide direct and efficient connectivity to Microsoft 365 users through the industry-leading Prisma Access service, enabling an optimal user experience in line with Microsoft’s connectivity principles.

“Because companies use direct-to-app architectures for their hybrid workforces, IT teams often have limited visibility and control over which applications users access. Prisma Access reduces the administrative and management effort by enabling the dynamic identification and categorization of Microsoft 365 traffic, which provides secure direct Internet access for branch offices via Prisma Access,” explains Kumar Ramachandran, SVP of Products at Palo Alto Networks . “We can’t stress enough how important it is to have a trustworthy ecosystem of technology partners. As a member of the Microsoft 365 Networking Partner Program, we help our customers to be confident in the security of their cloud environments and applications.“

Prisma Access, the central solution of Palo Alto Networks’ cloud security platform, meets all the requirements for securing Microsoft 365 and other cloud applications and enables secure and reliable zero-trust access to all applications that users need from anywhere. For teams responsible for the safety of users, Prisma Access allows:

  • A cloud-hosted security platform that spans over 100 global locations in more than 70 countries
  • API- and inline-based data loss and threat prevention
  • Native and autonomous monitoring of the digital experience
  • Simplified deployment and fast return on investment

“We are very pleased to welcome Palo Alto Networks to the Networking Partner Program for Microsoft 365,” explains Scott Schnoll, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft. “Palo Alto Networks is a valued partner focused on helping Microsoft 365 customers implement the principles of network connectivity of Microsoft 365. Microsoft only recommends solutions from members of the Networking Partner Program for connectivity to Microsoft 365.“

In accordance with the principles of Microsoft 365 network connectivity, Prisma Access can differentiate Microsoft 365 traffic by leveraging Microsoft’s APIs for endpoints, enabling local egress for application traffic, and enabling the elimination of intrusive network security for Microsoft 365 connections. Palo Alto Networks’ integrated next-gen CASB approach helps IT security teams discover and secure Microsoft 365 and many other applications, protect stored and shared sensitive data, and prevent zero-day threats in real time. All this is done without complex deployment or additional infrastructure.
