The Chinese outsourcing company Primax gathered on the Kickstarter funds to manufacture the world’s first VR-helmet with a resolution of 8K.
The novelty is equipped with dual displays with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. Refresh rate is 90 frames per second, the angle of 200 degrees. Helmet is significantly superior to PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive in technical terms.
To work Pimax 8K you will need a powerful PC and graphics card to at least the GeForce GTX 980. Included with the helmet is supplied with special controllers for motion capture.
To order the Pimax 8K at a price of $ 499 (about 28 000). The first deliveries are expected in early 2018.
