Armis, the leading agentless platform for device security, today announced that the company will expand its business and activities in the German-speaking region. With its cross – industry and cross-device platform for asset management and security in IT, OT, IoMT and IoT, the company offers an attractive solution for a wide variety of use cases and supports customers of various industries in the German-speaking market.
Alexander Bünning, Regional Director DACH, Armis
Armis was founded by cyber security specialists from Israel and employs over 400 people worldwide. The company’s sales have increased by more than 750% globally over the past two years, while the number of new customers has increased by more than 425% over this period. In addition, Armis entered into a staggered growth capital investment with significant participation from existing investors, including Insight Partners, CapitalG, Alphabet’s independent growth fund, and Georgian, bringing the company to a valuation of $ 2 billion.
In 2019, the provider also opened branches in German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) for the first time. Since October 2019, business in the DACH region has been run under the management of Alexander Bünning, Regional Director DACH. Prior to joining Armis, Bünning held senior positions in various IT security companies, including Palo Alto Networks and FireEye.
The business in Germany runs through the partners Magellan and NetDescribe. With partner distribution, the manufacturer relies on a” one-tier approach ” -the sale takes place in a single step directly through the partners without additional distribution. A particularly strong growth is seen in the use of the solution in healthcare organizations, in production environments (OT) and in retail, where customers successfully use the security platform for the detection, categorization and protection of their devices and networks by means of passive analysis.
“The pandemic has further accelerated the process of digital transformation. Companies that have already been pioneers here see themselves confirmed and are increasing their investments. Other companies are forced to refocus and develop their business. In both cases, the result is that machines and systems are increasingly digitized and additional, new devices are used in companies. For CIOs and security officers, it means that already complex environments become even more complex. Armis provides the required transparency at a glance – ‘What devices do I have, how do they communicate and what risk do they pose to me'” explains Bünning.
Sales and expansion in the region will continue to be driven by the increase in business and increased partner activity in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Among the goals of Bünning and his team is an expansion of the partner network and the acquisition of further customers.
