Marco Porak succeeds Patricia Neumann, who has been appointed Data, AI & Automation Sales Leader IBM Europe, Middle East and Africa. Ms. Neumann will remain a member of the Supervisory Board of IBM Austria. “Marco is a remarkable leader who combines extensive business experience in an international and industrial environment with deep roots in the Austrian market. Together with his team, he has always created enormous added value for IBM customers,“ comments Gregor Pillen, General Manager of IBM DACH.
Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of IBM Austria, Porak led the technology division of IBM Austria and supported customers in their digital transformation. A task that he will continue to perform. In his 22 years at IBM, Marco Porak has also held a number of management positions, including Sales Leader for the public sector, financial services sector, Global Offering Manager for Enduser Services Offerings, and Leader of Global Platform Development Center Offering, both in the IBM services business.

Marco Porak holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and is a patent holder from his time in software development.
