According to South Korean sources, Samsung is developing a virtual reality helmet VR Gear new generation. It will complement the existing series of helmets, Gear VR, or be a representative of a new family of devices that does not require the installation of the smartphone.
It is reported that the new Gear VR will have its own OLED display with a resolution of 2000 dpi (2000 ppi), much better than any other headset virtual reality from those available in the market at present.
For comparison, considered one of the best VR headsets Oculus Rift pixel density displays is 460 ppi, and screens flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus the figure is 570, and 529 ppi, respectively.
It is not known when exactly the outstaffing company plans to release newer device. Perhaps it will be presented next year along with the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus.
