Bernd Sebode, Head of Channel Germany at Check Point Software Technologies GmbH
“The accelerated digital transformation is forcing companies to deploy new applications faster and drive innovation at a faster pace. In connection with the transition to a distributed IT environment, such as multi-cloud, this circumstance pushes developers to cloud-native methods, such as low-code platforms. By 2023, more than 500 million digital applications and services will be developed and deployed using cloud-native approaches. This corresponds to the sum of all applications developed in the last 40 years. This results in clear and immediate threats to cloud applications, including data leaks, misconfigurations and information being leaked. To overcome this enormous challenge, developers immediately need the right tools to ensure that cloud security is implemented without compromising productivity.“
Spectral, an Israeli startup founded in 2020, is a major innovator in developer security with a thriving open source community. Spectral’s developer-centric security approach focuses on code security and trust, fast code scanning, and a simple developer experience.
Spectral’s tools support a wide range of automated code security applications, including:
- Infrastructure-as-code scanning.
- Prevention of code manipulation.
- Detection of hard-coded data.
- Source code controls and CI/CD security.
- Detection of source code leaks.
Spectral’s solutions are up and running in less than five minutes, and rapid code review delivers comprehensive and accurate results within seconds. The tools are already used by developers in over 300 companies worldwide.
The Spectral tools will be integrated into Check Point’s Infinity security platform as part of the CloudGuard offering, making it the most comprehensive security platform in the industry – from code to the cloud.
